Our panel has years of experience in the construction industry both avoiding and resolving disputes which arise out of incomplete scopes of work, unforeseen conditions or other unplanned obstacles. We will discuss proactive strategies to cope with risk and avoid conflict, how best to manage the change order process and how to handle disputes as they arise on the jobsite.

Scott A. Mangum is a shareholder at SMWB. He has a robust construction law practice in which he assists clients in a variety of litigation matters, including payment disputes, construction defect matters and delay claims. Scott received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2008. Prior to that, he graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in History.

Phillip Albanese is the Chief Operating Officer at Joseph J. Albanese Inc. Phil is responsible for sales and operations, securing and executing projects that fit JJA’s culture of safety, on-time schedules and top quality. His goal is to continue to strengthen the JJA brand by consistently beating expectations of its clients. Phil graduated from Boston College in 2008 where he was a two-year captain and 2008 American Rugby News All-American for the men’s rugby team.
